Advocacy Day in Albany, NY
The Coalition of New York State Alzheimer’s Association Chapters holds an annual Advocacy Day in Albany. Members of the Junior Committee travel with Chapter staff members, family caregivers to Albany to visit with Assembly and Senate New York City representatives. The visits provide an opportunity for family members to tell their stories and speak out on behalf of services for persons with Alzheimer’s, their families, and other caregivers. The visits also provide an opportunity to request support for funding for Chapter education and outreach to the community.
